Marlin Reyes, MA
Therapist
At the heart of my journey is a deep calling: to help others heal, grow, and rediscover hope. As a bilingual counselor, I have had the privilege of walking alongside individuals facing some of life’s greatest challenges—whether veterans navigating PTSD and homelessness, adolescents in crisis, or families in need of support. Through evidence-based practices like DBT, CBT, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing, I strive to create a safe space where people feel heard, valued, and empowered.
My professional path has led me to work with diverse populations, from supporting veterans at Veterans Village of San Diego to guiding at-risk youth as a Lead Residential Counselor. Along the way, I’ve learned that healing is not only about treatment plans and assessments—it’s about human connection, resilience, and reminding people of their own strength. My Associate Marriage and Family Therapist is pending, supervised by Rachel Eldred-Gordon, LMFT (CA #48894).
Outside of my work, I find balance and inspiration in the things that ground me: hiking and running outdoors, connecting with animals, writing poetry, and seeking new adventures. These passions remind me of the beauty in slowing down, embracing creativity, and always staying curious.
Above all, my purpose is rooted in compassion. Whether through counseling, advocacy, or simply showing up with empathy, my mission is to be a source of light for others as they navigate their own paths toward recovery and self-discovery.
