April Houghton
House Manager
Originally from Huntingdon, Tennessee, April joined BrightQuest in May 2023 and was promoted to House Manager in January 2024. She brings nearly a decade of experience working in residential psychiatric treatment, mental health institutions, and with individuals on the autism spectrum.
April is currently pursuing a degree in Criminology with a minor in Sociology, furthering her dedication to understanding the complexities of human behavior and mental health. Her passion for this work is deeply personal—shaped by her own experiences growing up with a parent who lived with mental illness.
At BrightQuest, April is known for her warm, empathetic approach and her ability build meaningful rapport with residents. She works closely with therapists and care teams to develop personalized support plans that reflect each individual’s needs and goals. She takes pride in creating a safe, structured, and compassionate environment where healing can begin.
Outside of work, April enjoys reading, baking, working out, and spending quality time with friends and family.
