As a San Diego native, Samantha started her journey at the University of California San Diego in hopes of becoming a therapist. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Samantha earned her masters of science degree in psychology for marriage and family therapy. Samantha was initially drawn to the field of mental health after learning about the disparities in mental health treatment amongst marginalized communities. She hopes to make mental health services more accessible to individuals in those communities and offer therapeutic support through cultural humility. In her spare time, Samantha enjoys being in nature, spending time with loved ones, and cooking.
