Mariam Kanno, ACSW

Associate Therapist

I was born in Iraq and moved to the United States in 2008, where I have spent most of my life growing up and building my career. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Kentucky in 2025 and currently work as an ACT clinician serving individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders.

Over the past several years, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in a variety of mental health settings. My approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative, incorporating techniques from CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing to help individuals work toward their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with the people closest to me, practicing self-care, and visiting the beach.

Mariam is an Associate Clinical Social Worker (CA #135359), supervised by Rachel Gordon-Eldred, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (CA #48894)
