Ember Norder
Milieu Therapist
Ember brings a compassionate, client-centered, and trauma-informed approach to their work as a mental health clinician. They are deeply committed to supporting individuals as they navigate life’s complexities, build resilience, and cultivate a greater sense of meaning, stability, and self-understanding. Ember views the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for healing and strives to create a space where clients feel seen, safe, and empowered in their growth.
Ember earned their Master’s degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where their clinical training emphasized trauma-informed care, systemic therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and work with complex trauma. Their approach integrates evidence-based modalities with a holistic understanding of each client’s unique lived experience.
Ember has experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, life transitions, neurodivergence, and queer identity exploration. They are especially passionate about working with clients seeking deeper selfunderstanding, relational healing, and a more authentic connection to themselves and others. Ember is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (CA #159801), supervised by Stephanie Coyle, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (CA #85956).
Prior to entering the mental health field, Ember worked as a makeup artist for eight years and hopes to one day expand into tattoo artistry. Outside of their clinical work, they enjoy exploring spirituality and philosophy, creating art, practicing yoga, and engaging with fashion. Ember shares their life with their two fur children, Luka and Theodora, and is grounded in values of community, connection, authenticity, safety, and growth.
