Sterling Gibson, CPRS

Recovery Specialist

Sterling was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, which he has proudly called home for most of his life. He is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist through TAADAS, earning his initial certification in 2024.

Following his own personal recovery journey, Sterling began working in the field of addiction and mental health treatment in 2023. Since then, he has supported individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, developing a recovery philosophy grounded in individualized care, harm reduction, and an emphasis on quality of life for both clients and their loved ones.

Sterling brings a diverse and integrative approach to his work, drawing from traditional 12-Step recovery models to the more esoteric Buddhist Philosophy of Recovery Dharma and everything in between. He has experience supporting individuals with substance use disorders and process addictions, and is deeply committed to offering the kind of compassionate, relational support that played a meaningful role in his own healing.

He is currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC). Outside of his professional work, Sterling enjoys playing music and spending time relaxing with his cat.
