Theresa is an associate marriage and family therapist. She supports clients through active listening and trauma informed care using modalities such as a client centered approach, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and art therapy. Theresa is skilled in guiding clients through anxiety, depression, anger, and grief management.
Theresa received her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education at College of Charleston and her master’s in counseling at National University. Much of her experience has been working with teenagers and families through individual and group therapy. She uses her expertise as a former teacher to provide psychoeducation around the nervous system as well as the mind-body connection. Theresa creates a safe and supportive space to allow for an exploration of emotions.
